BIO:

How could you resist that face? He is a gorgeous, sweet, smart pup! He loves to cuddle and follow you around, he is a real snuggler.  He learned how to use the doggy steps without even being taught and is getting the housebreaking thing down really fast. He walks great on a lease and is friendly to all people and other pets. He loves to be outside because he has not had the chance to run and play. Really likes toys and sticks! Rankin is a “real” puppy now, learning how to play and run. He would love another dog to play with, and he will absolutely adore you if you give him the attention and love that he deserves. What a great dog!

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.

More about Rankin...PA

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
