BIO:

Greta was rescued from a puppy mill in MO. She has taken to the life of a beloved pet with incredible ease!  She loves, LOVES people, and more than anything wants her own special person.  She follows her foster mom everywhere.  She loves having a big fluffy blanky to curl up in at night.  Stuffed animals are her favorite toys.  Greta is quite bowlegged and has earned the nick name “Cowgirl” at her foster home.  She comes to any name, truthfully, just thrilled that her people want her!  She is a very special, beautiful girl with so much personality and spirit.  If you have been searching for a devoted companion for life, well search no more!  Greta would love to be your special girl.  For more information about Greta, please email her foster mom at kathymartine@cox.net.

More about Greta...AR

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
