Sadie is a happy girl with her foster mom but is afraid of foster dad so we have to say woman only home and a home that understands she needs time to adjust but once she knows she can trust you she's fine. We want a fenced in yard for her cause she does like to go out with you and wander the yard while you wait for her to do her business. We are offering her at a reduced adoption fee because of her fears, please consider giving her the home she needs.

BIO:
SADIE came from one of those awful puppymills in MO where she was nothing but a breeding machine. When she first came to us she was very shy and timid and we had to chase her down to catch her now she knows that we mean her no harm and she’ll let us pick her up but she’s still not sure when you want to hold her and love on her what that’s all about. Isn’t it sad that a dog that was meant to be loved doesn’t know what that’s all about. We know that with patience and love that she will get it. She’s not aggressive to either humans or dogs and she will wag her tail at you and sleep in the doggie bed next to her foster moms chair when she’s on the computer she’s just not sure about being loved on. She is learning and we expect a break thourgh very soon. She is not leash trained so you will need a fenced in yard or willing to leash train her. She uses the dog door and follow her foster mom out to potty so if kept on a schedule she will get it and positive reinforcement and treats will also help.
She did lose 36 teeth due to poor care and will probably have to be kept on semi-soft food for life and have her few remaining teeth checked yearly so she can keep those. It doesn’t bother her and I’m sure getting those nasty teeth out of her head helped her to feel so much better.
Are you looking for a challenge? Do you want to see her turn from a scared puppymill dog to a trusted member of your family? Please apply for her today, she will give you all her love in return.
