Bobo was given up because his owner had to go live with family and the family didn’t like dogs very well so he had to find a new home, as broken hearted as the owner was. He’s a very quiet dog, only barks when he hears something. He LOVES to be outdoors so a fenced in yard is best for him. He gets along with all the other dogs in the foster home but we think he’d be fine by himself or with one other dog male or female. He’s very low key. He will share a chair with you if you'll let him. He's very loving and likes to give kisses. He walks well on a leash and has slept in a crate at night but he sleeps on a doggie bed here and will sleep in the big bed if invited. When he's excited he likes to run circles around the house which is adorable and when I get the leash to go for walks he often sits up on his behind and begs which is also adorable. We really want to see Bobo go to a great home where he’ll never have to be given up again. Please open your heart and home to this boy, he really deserves it.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
