BIO: Sheldon was born here in foster care and as such, knows only love and affection.  He is learning to poop outside his pen and is just a little love bug.  Sheldon is only one of 3 boys and 4 girls from this litter.  He enjoys being pet and romping with little loofa toys and siblings.  The puppies are getting fixed in June and will be available to go to their new homes after that is complete. Your home will be even more homier with Sheldon as a family member.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35

Fee r the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about SHELDON...IN

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
