A mixed puppy dachshund. She is all black and weights around 13lbs. Very playful. Loves to play catch. She is crate trained and continues to work on potty training, but getting better!!! She is very lovable. Her favorite thing is to snuggle on your lap to watch a movie. She loves being around other dogs and kids. She does well around cats. She is not food aggressive. Doesn't know any strange dogs or people. Very friendly to visitors. She does excellent on the leash. She will do great with a family with kids and other dogs. No health concerns at this time and is current on all her shots and heart worm preventatives.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
