BEING FOSTERED AROUND NASHVILLE, TN
Hey Ya'll! My name is Woody, I'm a southern boy with a big heart. As you may can tell I'm partially blind and I can't hear however this doesn't slow me down one bit. I use the piddle pad and if you will take me outside I'll take care of business there. I'm learning to use the doggie door but sometimes when I run into it I back up cause I forget that it is suppose to do that. I have had all my shots and I'm on Frontline and Heartguard. I'll be a year old November 1. My foster mom says that I'm a quick learner cause I have been able to find my way around her house with no trouble. I have a foster brother and two foster sisters that I like a bunch. I especially like my little foster sister cause we are about the same size and we play together really well. I like the fenced yard too cause my foster mom can take me out and let me play and explore. I like to ride in the car and do well on a leash. Did I mention that I like small humans too. I'm not much on cats, so a house will none of those would be good. That's about all I know to tell you about myself but if you would like to contact my foster mom at supernigel02@yahoo.com she will give you any additional information you might want about me. I look forward to going to my forever home soon, so if you have it in your heart to take on a "special" guy like me please fill out an adoption application.

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
