WHEN WILL I BE LOVED??? That could easily be the theme song for this darling little boy!!! At just four months of age , he has already been passed around like a football instead of the precious puppy he is. His owner for whatever reason, was going to take him and his darling sister to the animal shelter. A kind lady heard about them and took them home with her. Unfortunately she found that working two jobs didn't leave her time to give them the care they needed. She knew a woman who was a Foster Mom with All American Dachshund, and gave them to us. Dan’s little sister has already found her forever home with a darling young couple. Now we need to help Dan and make sure he has a family that will love him forever so that he never has to be afraid of not having a home again.  Dan is an absolutely gorgeous miniature, with a playful, happy, puppy nature. Please open your heart, and give your home to this little boy, who has so much to give in return.Why don’t you bring him home and share it with him!
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
