UPDATE: Edward is now 4 mos old and soon will be neutered.  He is a big boy at 10.5 lbs.  Edward is best friends with his brother Seth.  They LOVE playing the day away!  Edward is a beautiful Red color and his long coat make him gorgeous!  But he is still a rough and tumble boy!  He loves a wild game of chase!  Both pups really like playing with my cats, so no issue there!
Edward is such a cuddler, he loves hugs and kisses and a lap to cuddle on!
If you want to laugh every day, at this darling's antics, and always have a long hair beauty waiting to shower you with kisses consider adopting Edward or better yet, both Edward and Seth!! 

BIO Edward, is such a beautiful puppy, with an adventurous spirit, that he is very special.  His mother came to AADR from a puppy mill in MO pregnant.  he is exceptionally beautiful.  He is healthy, strong and LOVES people.  Because his Mom’s name is Bella, all the puppies were named per the Twilight series.  Edward is a long hair red puppy like his mom, he is very sweet and loving, playful and so smart.  He is a very special puppy.  

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
