BIO:

Tinker was owned and loved by a girl who could not afford her. Tinker got pregnant. The girl thought her parents would take tinker. They did not and she surrended the puppies to shelter and tinker. The puppies were older. No one took Tinker. Tinkerbell is leash trained and loves going for car rides, she would be a perfect pet for an older retired person.

Tinkers temperment is the most stable loving dog I've ever  known. Smart little dog. Will walk a agility dog walk, will run an agility tunnel. Will sit and will run and play with big dogs, small dogs and ignore cats. She will chase a bird and squirrel. Tinker is blk/tan. She is so sweet and loves laps and hugs and sits with us. She is crate trained at night but would prefer to sleep in bed. Tinker eats royal canin dry food, she will come with enough so that the person that takes her will not upset her stomach. She gets a little can dog food too. Please give Tinkerbell the home she so richly deserves.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo.  Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.

More about TINKERBELL...MD

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
