MEET
Lady was rescued by AADR from a shelter where she was taken because her family didn’t want her anymore. Lady is a 3 yr. old black & tan dachshund that is a very sweet girl. Why anyone wouldn’t want her is very sad. Being in her new foster home she had adapted greatly with the cats and other dogs in the home. Her foster mom is learning much about Lady, she is a sweet and loving girl, loves being outside, walks well on a leash, housebroken, crate trained, loves the doggie door and wants to snuggle under the covers in the big bed. Lady is looking to lose a few pounds but is doing very well with her diet. Lady will do great with older children so she can continue her walks for her weight loss. If you are looking for a great addition to your home Lady is the one to have. Please contact foster mom Cathy @ 865/207-1368
If you feel you can give Lady the home she so deserves please fill out an adoption application.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.
If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about LADY2...SC
Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
