BIO: Gentle, sweet, sassy, lovable and very calm dog. We fell in love with her in a few short days. A little shy at first but warms up quickly. Travels great in the car, gets along wonderfully with our 5 other dogs. Loves to exercise daily by running on Judith’s morning jog’s. Great on a leash and LOVES to go on walks. Enjoys her Holistic Eagle pack dry dog food with green beans. Housebroken. She is very smart and a quick study. A mix of Jack Russell and Dachshund, so she will be less likely to incur the typical back issues of the Dachshunds. She loves to hang out in a dog bed by the heater with the other 5 dogs in the mornings, at night she sits with us on the sofa watching TV. We keep her in a large crate at night by our bed, but she would sleep in the bed if we let her! She enjoys being petted, and is getting used to being held. She loves people and wants to be with someone as much as possible. She is a beautiful expression of a dog. She will make a great addition to any family with a fenced in yard and needs activities to keep her in shape. All prospective adopters must have a fenced in yard.
She came from a home in AL and for whatever reason she was given to another family and they only had her a short time and didn’t want her so she was shelter bound when a good Samaritan stepped in and asked if we would take her. We were told she was a dachshund and she is but she also has Jack mixed in as well. She is sweet, friendly and a joy to have around. Please consider giving Lemon Drop the home that she has been denied in her short life. She is not a couch potato but is a high energy dog that needs to be kept busy and active. She is a wonderful dog that needs a second chance at a loving family. She will repay your love a thousand times.
