We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast. Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. BIO: Fivel was rescued from a breeder when she was trying to sell him on Craigslist. The home were Fivel came from was not a great place for him and his disability. Fivel is a 8 week old double dabble puppy who is deaf and has vision difficulties. He is a sweetheart that just wants to be loved and cuddled. Fivel loves to play and chew. We are looking for a home that is able to handle a dog with a disability and can spend time teaching Fivel the basics. It would also be best if Fivel went to a home with another dog. Another dog in the home to show him the way will truly help in his development. He will be vetted and neutered/chipped before he is adopted.
If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
