Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

BIO:   Tanya is a very energetic little girl.  She is playful and smart!  She gets along with my Rottweilers and actually plays with them. The othe dachsunds adore her and kind of look after her as a kid sister.  She is very food motivated which makes training her very easy.  She is a sleek little girl, very petitie and dainty. She is also a little love bug and loves to cuddle with you. Even so, she does not mind sharing you with someone(human or canine). She becomes easily attached and is very forgiving of her previous misfortunes.  I hope that you will consider this little doll to be part of your family.

More about TANYA...MA

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
