BIO:

Phoenix and his sister Seraphine have had a really rough start in life-  his mother was abandoned or lost outside and was found after a huge thunderstorm and she was just 7 little bitty pounds.  Pheonix and his sister Seraphine were delivered by emergency C-section. Please read the story of them and their little Momma Solei and see the pictures of their birth http://www.allamericandachshundrescue.org/info/display?PageID=8762

Phoenix is the most playful little guy- he makes he funniest growly purring sounds. He loves to crawl al over his momma Solei like King of the Mountain.  He looks mostly like a dachshund and doesn’t seem to have gotten many of the Chihuahua traits. He is still a roly-poly puppy his legs will probably be a little longer but he is long and has the dachshund ears and face.   He will be a very small dog- Solei is just 7 pounds

As Phoenix is so very small he is NOT available for transport and must be picked up in Sacramento CA

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35

Fee r the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo.  Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.

More about PHOENIX....CA

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
