BIO:

Seraphine and her brother Phoenix have had a really rough start in life- her mother was abandoned or lost outside and was found after a huge thunderstorm and she was just 7 little bitty pounds.  Seraphine and her brother Phoenix were delivered by emergency C-section. Please read the story of them and their little Momma Solei and see the pictures of their birth http://www.allamericandachshundrescue.org/info/display?PageID=8762

At 1 pound Seraphine is a dainty little girl- she picks up her feet and prances like a princes when she walks. She loves to rough and tumble with her brother and learn how to be a good puppy from her Momma Solei. She will need someone dedicated to continuing that teaching for her so she can learn.  She should go to a home where one family member is home most of the time so she can be trained.

Seraphine looks mostly like a dachshund but seems to have gotten the Chihuahua ears. Mostly one ear usually goes up and the other stays down- they may stay this way- which makes her so endearing and cute as a button. Her little puppy his legs will probably be a little longer but she is long and has the dachshund body   Seraphine most likely will be a very small dog- her Momma Solei is just 7 pounds

As Seraphine is so very small he is NOT available for transport and must be picked up in Sacramento CA

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35

Fee r the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo.  Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.

More about SERAPHINE....CA

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
