BIO:

Geisha is a tiny, loving, precious baby. She was returned to AADR after a failed adoption. She reportedly bit her owner’s husband. She has not displayed any aggression since coming back into foster care. She has been exposed to male and female strangers and is very confident and loving toward them. She is well-behaved and plays well with her foster brother and sisters. She seeks affection and loves snuggling and cuddling. She is a wonderful sleeping partner and stays still all night. This girl is the perfect little doxie and will be a wonderful companion to anyone who loves to cuddle and needs a little extra warmth in bed. The fact that she’s too cute is icing on the cake!

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
