Update on Logan:
Here is a word from his foster mom:
Logan is such a joy to have around and turned in to the best love bug and snuggle buddy one could ask for. Idon't think he ever felt truely LOVED, unconditionally, and what it means to be a part of a family and has simply blossomed and is so happy. Our neighbor's grandson (8 years old) has fallen in love with Logan and often comes over often just to love on Logan. As soon as Logan hears his voice, he's off and running to meet him. Logan will sit in his lap and is content to be loved for as long as possible. When the boy leaves, Logan comes in to the house, tail wagging, like he is so very proud of himself that he is loved. Logan rolls in the grass, bounces through the house, throws his head in the air and barks because he's thrilled to get a chew bone and great meals, AND sleeps upside down on his back which is a true measure of the security he feels. Not only is a well behaved with good manners, he will bring joy to your heart! He's got cute little quirks such as always needing a blanket to bite (doesn't really chew on it much) when he's settling down for a nap. I suppose it's his "pacifier" that comforts him when he's sleepy. He gets really happy over mealtime and walks, and throws his head back, barks with joy, and turns in a circle, and prances around until he's fed. Logan is a treasure that needs a family that will enjoy him and love him and would LOVE to have school-aged child or grandchild to call his "own"!
Anyone who adopts him will have a very special doxie that will bring so much love, and laughter too, in to their life!!!!
His dry eye is not a big deal at all--we put drops in it sometimes. But mostly just keep it cleaned when it needs wiping. He actaully enjoys the face rub with a damp rag or paper towel!
_______________________________________
Logan is a handsome boy looking for a lap to warm! He is a sweet and gentle soul that would do well in a quiet home. Logan loves to go for walks and is a perfect gentleman on a leash, and loves to go for rides, and is a good companion in the car. He would love to find a home where someone is home much of the time and is looking for a companion to take with them on trips, walks, and, of course, to sleep wih them in the big bed! He is reliably housetrained, is fairly quiet around the house--not yappy at all--and has thrived with the predictable routine in his foster home. Logan is an obedient boy that loves to please his people, both mom and dad, and he is a FIVE STAR snuggler! He enjoys the company of his foster brothers and sisters, but would also do well as an only child.
Logan has a condition commonly known as dry eye where the tear ducts in the right eye do not produce tears. He requires daily eye drops that cost about $5-10/month. No other medical expenses are expected from this condition other than the continued use of eye drops. He is very cooperative and is accustomed to getting drops in his eye and makes no protests at all. His foster parents think he has limited or no vision in his right eye and can be startled if he doesn't see you coming or know that you are there. For this reason, we do not recommend that Logan go to a home with small children that move too quickly for his poor eyesight.
If you think you’ve got room in your heart to love this special boy, please complete an application for adoption! He is a LOVE!!! For questions or to request additional pictures, email his foster mom, Stephanie at smburmei@comcast.net.
