FOSTER HOME (NAME, CITY & STATE, ZIP, EMAIL) Diane  Fostered in Cocoa, FL  nashcat50us@yahoo.com

BIO:

ARNELL came in with Desi 2 her brother from a shelter in Hopkinsville, KY where they said they came up to this lady’s porch as strays. That was when they were 8 weeks old. They were kept in foster in KY until they were 11 weeks and could be gotten to our rescue at 12 weeks. They are now ready to find a forever home. They are PUPPIES and are wild like puppies will be and like to play and chew so if you can’t put up with chewing and trying to house break please do not apply. Other than that they are the sweetest pups, are not bonded so can or do not have to go together. We of course would love it if they could be if not they will be fine once they adjust but we strongly recommend that you have another YOUNG dog for them to play with so they don’t get bored and get destructive. They are catching on to the house breaking thing and if kept on a schedule they will be house broken in no time, using special treats will also help.

ARNELL is a bit of a Princess but can play with the best of them but just likes a bit more of attention than her brother and loves giving puppy kisses. Please take a look at her sweet face and see if you can’t find a place in your heart and home for this homeless girl and maybe her brother  too???

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo.  Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.

More about ARNELL..FL

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
