SNOOP was an owner turn-in who couldn’t care for him any longer. He was turned in with his brother, Chewy. When you first meet SNOOP, he is a little timid and needs a little time to warm up. But once SNOOP knows you’re OK---he’s a snuggle buddy and a lover. Just pick him up, pet his face, and he’ll wrap himself around you in a big puppy hug! SNOOP will thrive with someone who is patient and will devote time and attention to him and gently give him rules and boundaries that will make him feel secure and self assured. Positive rewards for good behavior will work magic with SNOOP. He’s too sensitive to ever need scolding---it’s simply not necessary with him. He has no behavioral issues and we expect he’ll be easy-to-train and be a constant source of joy for his forever family. He’s working on his housetraining manners and is doing well when kept on a schedule.
Snoop and his brother, Chewy, would love to be adopted together, but they should adjust fine in separate homes. Chewy and Snoop share a crate and he settles in nicely and quietly. Because he’s so small, he needs to go to a home with older children that know how to handle a small doxie and will respect his sensitive personality. He’s not been exposed to cats, but should have no problems adjusting to a home with cats.
Feel free to email his foster mom with questions or to ask for more pictures.
