BEING FOSTERED IN Middle TN

LOOK AT THAT CUTE FACE WITH THE LITTLE TONGUE STICKING OUT!! How can you resist that face? Her tongue sticks out because she lost quite a few of her teeth due to neglect by the previous owner(s).
Annee was found wandering the streets in Anniston, Alabama. She had horrible dental issues but with the help of a human angel from SSDR, she had her teeth pulled and was fixed up and is doing great. She will need to be on soft food. She currently is eating Natural Balance (the roll cut up) and loves it. She is a tiny bundle of sweetness and love. She is UTD on everything, HW negative and great with all dogs, cats, and just loves everyone. Annee prefers the big bed but does great in her bed at night, if she is tucked in with hugs! She is housebroken and uses the doggie door to explore the fenced back yard. She is our squirrel chaser but is not a barker. She loves to snuggle under blankets and cuddles with her foster parents and fur siblings.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
