Coco was surrender. She is a red/white piebald. Coco ’s birthday is September 27, 2008.
She is up to date on all shots and is spayed. She is a little nervous but slowly comes out of her shell. She is the normal dachshund and needs boundaries and discipline. She came from a family with two children and has been fine with a smaller child so far still nervous at times. She loves her bed and is learning to play well with other dogs. Coco is still a puppy and has puppy tendencies. She is 99% house broke. She has not had any accidents. Needs a loving home that has time to play and snuggle. She loves to ride in the car with her nose out the window. She also loves to lay in the sun.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast. Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
