BIO:  Hi I’m Roxie and I’m just a little bitty baby.  I was born on October 19th along with my 4 sisters. My Momma Brandi is a mini longhair black and Tan doxie, my Daddy was a mini smooth hair Black and tan doxie and my Grandpa was a smooth hair chocolate colored doxie.  Right now it looks like I could be a long hair too but I’m so tiny it’s hard to tell.  I don’t know much yet but I’m learning all the time.

Roxie will need to go to a home that will be committed to housetraining and teaching her how to grow up to be a good dog.  No small children under 8. Puppies are fragile and need to be treated as such until they get bigger.

Roxie will need to be picked up in Sacramento, she is way too small for transport. There is a spay deposit of $50.  She must be spayed by the time she is 7 months old.

If you have the time, love and patience for a brand new puppy, then Roxie is your girl!

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo.  Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.

More about Roxie2...NV

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
