Juliette and Skye came from a breeder in SC who was closing her business. These girls are among the sweetest girls I have ever met. When they first came into foster care, they were very scared and didn't know what it was like to live with a real family. How far they have come!!! They are so eager to please and are really coming along on their potty training. Juliette has even begun to ask outside by scratching on the door! Skye and Juliette have been thru so much together and are a bonded pair. THey must be adopted together. They love eachother so much and do everything together! They sleep together, eat together, and even love to be in the same larger crate together! Juliette has more of a spunky puppy personality while Skye is more quite and reserved and would love to sleep in your lap all day! Both are young girls and love to run out in the backyard and tackle eachother out in the grass. They get along great with other dogs and don't have a mean bone in their body! They both know their names and come when called. Juliette loves to give kisses and lay her head on your shoulder! They are still working on their leash training and for this reason they must go to a family with a fenced in yard. They love all people but a lot of this is new for them so they may be timid when they first meet someone new. They are very loyal girls and I know they will become very attached to their forever family. They are so smart and alert. Whenever I take them out with me, many people comment on how friendly and beautiful they are! Once they feel comfortable, they are just the sweetest girls and will melt your heart on your first snuggle!
Can you show these girls that there is only happiness ahead for them? They will thank you by giving you their whole hearts FURever!

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
