BIO:  Ollie was rescued from the Alexander City, Alabama shelter where he had been picked up as a stray. He has taken very much to living the good life with warm beds, toys, and plenty of food. He likes to sleep in the Big Bed with his special toy bunny but will happily sleep in a dog bed with a warm blanket that he can burrow in. 

Ollie does very well with a dog door but does have a habit of taking all his toys outside in the yard except his special bunny. Ollie would do well with an active family as an only dog or with another small, young, playful dog for a buddy.  He hasn’t quite gotten the hang of ramps yet but is so eager to please that he could learn with patience. He has learned to sit patiently by his food bowl while breakfast and dinner are prepared. Ollie loves to be held and cuddled and gives the best hugs and kisses.

Our must-haves for this sweet little guy include:

• A securely fenced yard
• A buddy or two to play with (could be an only dog with an active family)
• Warm, soft beds and blankets that he can burrow in
• Someone to build his confidence and reassure him that he’s a good boy
• No apartments or high rises or condos

There will be an additional $60 fee added for a required Health Certificate if traveling out of the state in which they are being fostered. 

We will not adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states.  If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures.
