FOSTER HOME (NAME, CITY & STATE, ZIP, EMAIL)  Deb Runyan, Commerce Township, Michigan 48390      drunyan@ymail.com

BIO:  Bentley is a very nice boy.  He's very, very good with other dogs, and enjoys playing with any that are friendly.  He avoids conflict and goes out of his way to do so.  He's a good watch dog, quick to let you know if something or someone is around the outside of your house.  He's a snuggler, wants nothing more than to be cozy with you, all snuggled up while you watch tv or read a book.
He is crate trained, and is quiet all night, but would sure love to sleep with you!  Since he's only 11 lbs, he promises he won't be a bed hog.   He loves people - young, old, in-between, he loves them all.
He and his pal Bailey were given up due to their mom's health issues, not because of anything they'd done.  She cared enough about these wonderful boys to make sure they'd have a loving home, and we're here to help them find it!   Bentley is waiting for you, please email about him.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo.  Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options.  If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
