Allie 3 was found as a stray on Lewisburg,TN by good Samaritan who turned her over to us because they knew we would find her a good home. Allie 3 is quite a special little girl, she is very smart and learns quickly. She opens her own crate and sits patiently inside waiting for her meal or her treat before her Foster Mom goes to work. She loves to play outside and runs very, very fast, so fast that the other dogs can not catch her! Allie3 also loves to play with her toys and can keep herself entertained. She plays well with the other dogs but because of her age she is best suited with other young dogs.  She is crate trained and housebroke to a doggie door and really should have a fenced yard since it is what she is accustomed to. All in all Allie 3 is a delightful little girl who loves to cuddle and be held but is still very much a puppy with a lot of  energy.  Allie3 would love to be someone’s special little girl so please consider her if you are interested in adopting a puppy. Please email the address listed if you are interested.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
