Broken hearted they decided it was best to surrender the dogs over to resuce rather than have them live outside. BUDDY10 is very very friendly and loves attention. He gets along with all the other male and female fosters in the home and likes to sleep in the big bed at night. He is sweet and loves attention. He would probably be ok as an only dog and would go with you everywhere has he does fine in a car. If you are looking for a friendly gentleman as a companion look no further, he is the "man". Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten. Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
