BIO: Sampson and Lucy are a very bonded pair; they are father and daughter. They came from middle Tennessee when their elderly owner could no longer care for them. They must stay together so please don’t ask to split them up.
- Sampson is very dependent on his daughter.
- Both are STANDARD Dachshunds.
- They must have a fenced yard.
- It would be best if they had someone who is home a lot to be with them and let them out but they would be fine being alone as well while you are at work or shopping.
- Only 12 years and older, quiet children as they have not been around kids much.
These are two of the sweetest standard dachshunds, and they are very low key and laid back. They like attention but don’t demand it. Sampson is very dependent on his daughter and will look to her for reassurance. Where you see one, you see the other as you can see from the pictures. In their photos, although Lucy is younger, she has more white on her face.
Sampson and Lucy love to go for walks. As a matter of fact, the previous owner used to walk them daily until he just couldn’t any longer. For that reason, they will need a refresher on housebreaking with a strict schedule or a doggie door.
These two were very confused when they first came to us because they just didn’t know what was going on. They are more social now but will probably be shy at first in a new home... please don’t let this stop you from adopting them. They are the sweetest and will give you years of love and devotion. Will you be their last home, please?
