BIO UPDATE (9/8/2019): Harris came from a high kill shelter in NC and his only chance of getting out was through rescue. Here’s some important information about Harris:
- Must have a fenced yard
- Must have another younger or playful dog in the home because he loves to play
- He is very friendly, a little shy at first but warms up quickly with a few little treats
- House broken to a schedule or a doggie door
- Only children over 10 years because a small child could hurt him
- No apartments, only homes with fenced yards please
This is Harris here! I have been with my foster home for two weeks now. Just been giving my foster mom time to get to know me.
I am a tiny little guy – cute, warm, cuddly, lovey, and I listen pretty well.
This home is very busy and has a lot going on and visitors galore. I get along with little dogs and BIG dogs. Foster home has a dachshund whom I love to sleep with. Retriever who I love to play with, and most of the time I instigate playtime. Then, two shepherds and a boxer mastiff visited and we all got along just great. Now I will tell you, they have a cat and boy, he's twice my size! I bark at him and if I get too close, he will scratch me and put me in my place.
Kids? LOVE them! 10 years and up. I like to follow them around. But they must know how to respect me and be nice.
I am 95% house broken, my foster mom won't say 100% because with being adopted and the transition, I might have an accident. I would like to go to a home with a fenced yard. I want to be outside and sun as much as I can.
