BIO:My name is Millie and I love attention.I will follow you everywhere. I don’t really like other doggies trying to get in on ‘my’ time with you, I just show my teeth, but I calm down when foster mom tells me I have to.I don’t really like men humans, I am scared of them. I did like foster mom’s son. I am UTD on all my vet stuff and I am glad. I also have a pretty white smile since they cleaned my teeth. I am AKC registered. There’s a huge furry thing at foster mom’s house that she calls a cat.I don’t know about it, that thing scares me, it’s twice as big as me!So I just ignore it. Foster mom tries to give me these squeaky things but she thinks I don’t know what to do with them but, I just want to sit in your lap and look at you and give you kisses and all the love I have.I want to follow you everywhere you go and keep you in my view.I like to go for rides too.My favorite type of bed is a soft cushy one. I like curling up in it. And the big bed of course.Foster mom says I am a very sweet girl. I just want a forever lap to lie on. Iwill love you with all of my heart
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about Millie
Good with Dogs, Good with Cats
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
