NAME............................................WILLIE2 DACHSHUND.............................PURE/TWEENIE COAT............................................SMOOTH COLOR........................................SILVER DAPPLE AGE..............................................1+ YR GENDER.....................................MALE/NEUTERED WEIGHT...................................... 14 LBS ADOPTION FEE..........................250.00+10.00 chip fee contact nashcat50us@yahoo.com WILLIE2 was picked up as a stray running down the middle of the street in a small town in KY. He is super friendly, doesn't know a stranger and wants to play play play with all the fosters here even if they don't want to play which gets him into trouble sometimes. He is working very hard on his housebreaking skills but will need further help, but he's eager to please so taking him out on a regular schedule and giving him treats should do the trick. He is also leggy meaning he is a PB but just poorly bred so has a little longer leg than the better bred dachshunds but he's still very much a pure dachshund. If you'd like to make him a member of your family please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an application and be sure to put his name on the application someone will be in touch right away. Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome and a home visit is required. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interested in a rescue.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
