HE IS NOT AGGRESSIVE TO ANYTHING JUST WANTS TO BE LOVED AND CUDDLED AND SLEEP IN THE BIG BED WITH YOU OR BESIDE YOU IN HIS OWN. HE IS DOING GREAT AT HIS HOUSEBREAKING NOODLE BEING FOSTER IN TN. NOODLE has spent his four years outside due to not being able to houebreak him. He is now in a foster home that has a doggie door and he is having NO issues with going out side. He is very very sweet will not jump on the furniture but lay on the throw rugs and won't even sleep in a doggie bed. He gets a gets along with all the dogs here male and female. Loves to be outside roaming in the yard or when it's hot outside laying on the hardwood floors. Noodle is not really overweight could stand to lose a lb or two but he is a standard and they can weigh up to 35 lbs. He is UTD on all shots, heartworm neg and on prevention and is microchipped. If you have a doggie door and a fence in yard this is the man for you. He'll keep the Squirrels and cats chased away from your yard and let you know when there are bees around, he hates them. He really needs to have another dog or two cause if he's by himself and he gets bored he'll bark and dig. He doesn't care to get a bath or his nails clipped either. I have tried several times to put him on the waterbed but he prefers the floor so you wouldn't have to worry about him taking up all the bed space. We have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible up the Eastern seaboard. A home visit is required on all adoptions. AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
