NAME......................................LIL BIT2 DACHSHUND.......................PURE/TWEENIE COAT......................................SMOOTH COLOR..................................RED AGE........................................8 YRS GENDER..............................MALE/NEUTERED WEIGHT................................25+ and losing!! on very strict diet ADOPTION FEE..................150.00+10.00 chip fee contact Diane nashcat50us@yahoo.com 100% HOUSETRAINED!! With LIL BIT2 the old saying "MORE TO LOVE" is so true. He is the sweetest sweetest boy. Loves kids over dogs but don't know about cats. He was surrendered by his owner in AL due to them moving to a place that didn't accept dogs. So he had to go....... This boy needs to lose about another 10lbs but we are slowly working it off him. When he first came to us he couldn't get thru the doggie door but now he slides right thru it. LIL BIT2 is just a great all round boy. He likes to sleep in the big bed or chair with you while you read or watch TV or wander around in the yard while you're out there working. This boy is just too too sweet not to find a forever home. and if you stick to the diet we have him on he'll continue to lose weight until he's down where he supposed to be. Keep in mind the pics you see of him here are when he first came in and he has now lost about 7lbs and losing. Won't you give this boy a chance to come into your home and see him turn into a wonderfully slim boy that has lots of love to give?? He is UTD on all shots, had dental, and is on Frontline and Interceptor. Don't let this boy set in foster just cause he's a little on the large side. Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome. We have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible up the Eastern seaboard. A home visit is required on all adoptions. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interest in a rescue. To fill out an application for this dog please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an app. we will be in touch shortly to do a phone interview. It is also best to have a dog in mind that you would like to adopt or if you don't please let us know that you'd like a dog that best fits your lifestyle.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
