About FERGIE/FL

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
DACHSHUND..................................PURE/MINI COAT.................................................LONGHIAR COLOR.............................................BLACK & TAN AGE...................................................7.5 YRS WEIGHT...........................................7 LBS Freggie was given up by her owner due to health problems. She is house broken, UTD on shots, on Interceptor and Frontline and had a dental. She loves car rides, walks well on a leash and will either sleep in her doggie bed besdie your bed or in bed with you. One other dog would be fine but more would be too busy for Freggie. Older children(over 12) would be fine but no cats. She also loves to get a bath. Her previous owner keep her hair cut but she'd be much cuter with her hair grown out., If you are interested in Freggie please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an application and put her name on it. Out od state adoptions are welcome and a home visit is required. If you decide to adopt Freggie you won't be sorry she is as sweet as candy!!

Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
