Now that she has weaned her puppy INDY she's a wonderful little girl that loves her people and likes to play with the other dogs. We think she's just a year old if that. She also appears to be housetrained at least to the doggie door and should take much to housetrain with out one. She loves to sleep under the covers in the big bed. If you are looking for a sweet sweet girl and don't care that she's not perfect looking this could be the girl for you. She will follow you ever where in the house or out in the yard. She just wants to spend as much time with you as she can. DANNI came from Clarksville, TN along with her puppy Kris. He is now on his own and she will be getting spayed and looking for a new forever home. She is a very very sweet girl. Loves her people, very much. Wants to be in your lap or next to you as much as possible. Likes to play with the other dogs now that puppy is gone. She was a very good mommy but now it's her turn to find that wonderful home. We think she is "back-yard bred" but can't be sure so we are listing her as a mix but she could be pure-bred. She is very sweet and will be up to date on all shots and on heartworm prevention and frontline. She does appear to be housebroken at least to a doggie door but she is very eager to please so with positive reinforcement she will be easy to house break. Please give this girl a wonderful loving forever home. Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome. We have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible up the Eastern seaboard. A home visit is required on all adoptions. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. If you do not let us know these things this maybe the factor that you will be turned down to adopt one of our dogs.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
