CUTIE came from the same puppymiller as Trixie and her puppies did. Not a good breeder either. CUTIE is just the sweetest thing this side of sugar. She just LOVES to give a ton of kisses and spend all of her time with you including sleeping up by your head at night. She gets along with all dogs but really wants her people instead of other dogs. She will even SMILE for you when you talk to her!! She is UTD on all shots, heartworm negative and on Interceptor and Frontline. She was spayed and a mammary tumor was taken off and that's all taken care of. She had a dental and lost some teeth due to poor food but we believe her mouth will heal nicely and she should be able to eat hard food within a couple of weeks. She will need further work with housetraining but will go outside with you when you go so I think with patience she will catch on. We have a doggie door and she uses that. We think she would be great with kids over 5 and cats and other dogs. If you are interested in adopting the sweetest dog this side of Heaven here is the one for you. Fill out an app for her cause she won't last long as sweet as this little girl is.
Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome. We have several transporters that for a fee will bring the dog as close to you as possible up the Eastern seaboard. A home visit is required on all adoptions. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interest in a rescue. To fill out an application for this dog please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an app. we will be in touch shortly to do a phone interview. It is also best to have a dog in mind that you would like to adopt or if you don't please let us know that you'd like a dog that best fits your lifestyle.
More about CUTIE...NJ
Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
