THIS GAL IS A REAL CHARACTER, LOVES TO CLEAN ALL THE OTHER DOXIE'S AND WILL EVEN PLAY AND HOPS IN THE YARD LIKE A BUNNY.
Hi my name is Charlotte an I am about ten years old but I am a love bug,I love to go outside an look around an have my belly rubbed and I love a tennis ball,I can go down stairs an once I loose some more weight can probably get back up them right now there is a little fat in the way, ha! My foster mom says I am a good loving girl, I love to cuddle on the couch with you if you let me out often I potty outside,I love a dog bed an a soft blanket an would love to come love you if you would love me.......please give me a home!!
Charlotte, was turned into a shelter as a stray, we figured they bred her until she couldn't be bred anymore and then just dumped her, why we don't know she's a beautiful sweet girl and gets along with other dogs, cats and is fine with kids.
She is UTD on all shots, heartworm negative and spayed. She also has had a dental. Please find it in your heart to give this older gal a forever home for however long she has left. She will give you love back 10 fold.
Out of state and Canadian adoptions are welcome and a home visit is required. We also micro chip all our dogs and must pass the cost on to the adopter. It is only $10.00. Thank you for your interested in a rescue.
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
