Ali is a very very sweet girl, she should weigh about 9 lbs but is a little cubby right now but if she had another doxie to play with and walks to go on she'd drop that weight quick. She is very friendly and sometimes tends to piddle a little when she see you, this is not a bad thing just something that can be worked with. She would be fine with kids 10+ that know how to respect animals. No cats but needs a fenced yard and is house broken to a doggie door. She is used to sleeping in crate at night but used to being out and in during the day by way of a doggie door and fenced in yard. She is UTD on all shots, spayed and on Interceptor. She has already been microchipped. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl please don't wait she will go fast that's for sure. Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
