BIO (5/23/2019): Hello all, my name is Faith and I’m looking for my own Furever Home! I’m in a foster home with cats and dogs and don’t have a problem with them. Here is more info about me from my foster mom:
Faith has only been in my house for a short time and I’m learning new things about Faith every day. Faith is sleeping in a crate all night with no accidents. She is enjoying going out a doggie door to run and play in the yard and boy does she love toys and playing with a ball!
Faith is on her way to losing a few pounds, with all her running and it won’t take long to get at a good weight for her. I think Faith is a little shy at first but when she meets you, she does very well.
Please, if you are looking for a sweet girl, look at Faith. She will have a chance to go to work with me, so check back for updates as we learn more about her.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
