WHO SAID I CAN'T BE GOOD!!!! Look at my face and tell me "NO". Her name is Angel, she came from a shelter in AL where she was an owner turn-in. She already has plenty of "attitude"!! She will stand up to the big dogs and I do believe she wll be an alpha so she'll have to go with another dog problaby male and one that needs to get used to her getting her way. She loves to play with the other dogs and holds her own until they hurt her and then she comes crying to her foster momma. She is very sweet, very smart and just a doll to have around. She loves to cuddle and will sleep all night long in the big bed. She is working on her housetraining and will need to continue that but treats will have that along. She will be spayed before going to her new forever home and a small hernia will be repaired as well other than that she is the picture of health. Loves giving kisses and the tail never stops. Give her a home, your home, apply today!!
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about ANGEL 5/SPIKE...NY
Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
