BIO: Hi my name is Poppy and I’ve had some bad breaks. My owner had to give me up when she became ill and could no longer care for me. So I came up from AL to TN and then when they checked me out they found out I had horrible teeth and most of them needed to be pulled including my canines. The rescue wants to do the very best for me so they are having my fistulas fixed so they close and heal. I have already had one surgery and am scheduled for another soon. So I can't go to my forever home until that is done. Right now I have to eat soupy food but that’s ok, I don’t care. When all is healed I’ll be able to eat hard small kibble, and I can hardly wait!

Now about me... I LOVE people! If you are sitting I’m in your lap or if you go outside I’ll go with you and that’s why I need a fenced yard, I’ll follow you anywhere. I love to sleep in the big bed and will sleep all night by your side and won’t move.

They have a doggie door here at my foster home but I’m sure if you’ll just go out with me, I’ll show you I’m housebroken.

I love to travel and meet new people, no one is a stranger to me and I’ll give them tons of kisses to prove it!

I’m not sure about kitties but they might be ok, but other dogs are just fine.
