FOSTER HOME (NAME, CITY & STATE, ZIP, EMAIL): DeeAnn Jones, West Columbia, SC;  DeesDawgs@aol.com

My name is Bree.  I was an owner surrender and when my foster mom rescued me I had a terrible cold.  It took me a week of coughing all night and day to get better.  Now I love to play with my other doxie foster sisters.  I also really enjoy going in and out of the doggie door.  I love to be outside to sunbathe and run with my foster sisters.  I love to follow my foster mom around everywhere.  I like lots of attention and will gladly pay you with plenty of kisses.  I am still working on potty training but only have accidents every once and a while.  Although I will go into a kennel, I don’t like it if you shut the door.  I really like sleeping in a big bed with my foster mom, dad and sisters.  When it is time to walk, I walk proudly on a leash.  I am not sure if I like little kids because my foster family only has big kids.  I have lots of energy and would prefer to be in a home with other dogs.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
