Mina is a beautiful little girl. She is still painfully shy around strangers but with her “family” she could not be more loving. She lives in a home with other dogs, cats and birds. She gets along great with all. No problems at all. She is doing very well with her potty training and uses her pee-pee pads when she can’t get out. Loves to cuddle, but when she is outside, she couldn’t be happier. She is doing well on the leash. Mina, from what I understand came from a puppy mill in the south. She has improved by leaps and bounds from the skin and bones frightened little pup I received four weeks ago. Miss Mina would love to have a forever home to call her own. In return you will receive the undying love and affection of a very grateful little girl.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about Mina
Good with Dogs, Good with Cats
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
