FOSTER HOME rjbzduch@frontiernet.net

Hello my name is Mercedes. I am a beautiful Mini Black & Tan Long Haired Doxie. I am only 2 1/2 years old. My weight is 9 lbs. I love people, kids ages 4-104. I like other dogs and even cats. I give my foster moms cat kisses (the cat hates it). I have had my dental done and now I act like a totally different girl. I smile (see photo) and give kisses to anyone who lets me close to their face. I have a very fast tongue too. I'm doing good on my potty training. I like to run around my doggie yard like I was on fire. I am crate trained at night and when my foster mom has to work. I would rather sleep with you in the big bed. I go into the vet on the 16th of March to be spayed. I would be perfect for your home.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about Mercedes...TN

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
