BIO:  LOOK AT THAT SWEET FROSTED FACE!  CAN YOU FIND ROOM IN YOUR HOME AND HEART FOR A “SPECIAL NEEDS” LITTLE GIRL?

Jae is one of the sweetest and most loving dogs you will ever meet!  All she wants is your love!  Can you find it in your heart to give her what she is craving and so deserves?

Jae came from Atlanta, GA along with other dachshunds, found in a home with the deceased owner.  Sadly, Jae had gone down in the back but the owner got her back up on her feet and walking.  She does do a funny little walk at times but mostly you’d never know she had a back injury.

Jae is on Science Diet Dog Food for crystals in her urine and as long as she is on that food, she has no crystals and no UTIs.  Because there was some damage to her nerve, she does have poop accidents but at night, if you put a diaper on her, you will have no problems with potty accidents.  If you take her out on a schedule throughout the day, there will be no issue there or if you work, just use a puppy pad in a confined area.

Please look past all that and into her heart...

Jae can be left alone while you are work.  She would sleep away the day until you return.  She is also fine with other dogs, preferably small dogs so they don’t accidentally step on her like a bigger dog could.  A cat...well, we think they would be fine too.  We want Jae to have a fenced yard because she does like to go out and wander the yard, but she wants you to be with her.

She will play a little with her foster brother in her foster home but mostly she likes to look at you with adoring eyes or sleep in a doggie bed.  Please give sweet Jae a chance!

If you are unable to adopt please consider AADR Sponsorship. You can help support this beautiful girl's Special Needs while she awaits a forever home.  See our SPONSORSHIP INFO page on the Main Menu.

More about Jae in TN

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids, Good with Adults, Leashtrained, Cratetrained, Affectionate

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
