Bryn is a 4 yr old red brindle smooth female weighing approximately 10 lbs. She always amuses herself and never causes any problems with the other dogs. If you call her, she will come immediately wagging her tail. She loves chewing on her nylabone and playing with other dogs outdoors. She does run along side the fence watching the neighbors' cats on the opposite side of her fenced area. They love to tease. She is crate trained and also uses a doggie door to the fenced yard. Bryn may be a little shy when first meeting a stranger. She prefers women to men. With a few treats, she mellows and wants to be your friend. Bryn is not used to being with children or cats. She is not an alpha nor aggressive dog.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about BRYN...WA

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
