BIO UPDATE (3/1/2018): Hello all, Willie here with an update about ME. I have been in Alabama for about three months now and WOW am I having a great time. My foster mom & dad say I am making amazing improvements since I first got here. I no longer have accidents in the house and love going in and out of my special door. I still don't like being held back when I'm on my walks, but that's mostly because I'm a hunter at heart and just want to explore. When I get a chance to run around in the back yard is when I am the happiest! My furever home needs to have a fenced yard so that I can keep doing this. It also helps keep me slim and in shape too. Check out my video and watch me having fun outside!
BIO: Willie was an owner surrender. Sometimes we are told why but in Willie’s case, we were not. Whatever the reason, I can’t imagine it was behavioral. Let me tell you a little bit about him. Willie is such a sweet and loving little boy! He loves to snuggle with his foster mom and dad but is just as content to lounge around in his bed. He’s still got a lot of puppy left in him and loves to run and play. He wasn’t crazy about his crate at first but once in at bedtime, he settles down and goes right to sleep. However, I do believe Willie would be better in a home where he doesn’t have to be crated all day since he is not a fan of the crate. He is also not crazy about a leash. He’ll try to bite it and doesn’t like to be held back but with patience and good training, he should get better with time. He loves going out in the backyard to chase and bark at birds so due to this and his dislike of the leash, we really think he would be better suited in a home that has a fenced yard.
Like all pups that have experienced a major change in their life, Willie has had a couple of accidents in the house but is doing great using the doggy door when he needs to go potty, or when he hears something that needs further investigation!
Willie is looking for his forever home and he can’t wait to show you what a sweet and good boy he is. Won’t you give him a chance?
