He had 4 siblings but sadly none of them made it due to illness. Einstein has overcome a lot in his 9 weeks of life: the shelter, Parvo, and parasites. He is now a healthy, happy pup that is learning what the good life is all about. He is still very curious & cautious about his surrounds but no one cuddles better than he does. We are working on house training but of course at this young age there are still accidents everyday. He has only been in his foster home for a little while so we will post more information as it comes available. Please consider being his happy ending.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.
If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE. If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. More about Einstein....CA
Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
