BIO:
Scooby has come into rescue through no fault of his own. After losing his owner, AADR was contacted about little Scooby to give him a chance for his very own Furever Home.
Scooby is a gentle guy, he loves everyone he meets, loves being outside (trained with the doggie door & fenced in yard), and rides in a car well. He will be ready to go for a walk with you anytime. When it’s time for bed, he knows his crate and goes right in. Scooby will run and play with the other dachshunds in his foster home and his toys, and when Scooby wants to sleep, he will find a bed and cover himself up and sleep (it is so sweet!). Scooby is around cats and is only curious about them and does not bother them. Scooby is all dachshund so if he’s outside and someone comes up he will bark, but don’t all doxies?
If you are looking to add a Furbaby to your family, Scooby will be a great addition. If you need more information, just contact Cathy at cathyjbm@aol.com.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
